The biggest advantage of Basaksehir is to have a strong development potential with high-level public investments. Transportation projects in Basaksehir like 3rd airport, 3rd bridge and its connection roads, Channel Istanbul and many other projects had transformed Basaksehir into a central and big investment area which is expected to continue so.
Transportation will be Easier
Gamze Ertas Karcioglu from TSKB Real Estate Appraisal talked about the transportation investments in the district saying “ Two new metro lines, planned to start transportation in 2019, one of them is Basaksehir-Kayasehir Subway Line and the other one is Basaksehir-Kayasehir-Olimpiyat Stadium Tram Line. It will be easier to reach 3rd airport via Halkali-Arnavutkoy-3rd Airport Tram Line integrated with Basaksehir Tram Lines. These make Basaksehir preferable which also affects the real estate prices.” She also stated that the public hospital which has about 3000 bed and is expected meet the demand of health services for area is planned to open in 2020. “In addition, these all creates new employment opportunities in the district which more than 10000 position will be held after these investments. This means there will be a demand for housing also.”
Square Meter Prices Increased
Saying that real estate prices are increasing in Basaksehir, a district which mostly addresses middle and high-class society, Karcioglu added “The houses constructed by well-known brands and companies are increasing in Basaksehir where in the last 2 years it reached 23 percent of all houses which means corporate firms and big construction companies foresee the opportunity in the area and started to invest on lands.
