Information about Turkish E-Visa
The Electronic Visa (e-Visa) Application System was launched on 17 April 2013 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. This system allows visitors travelling to Turkey to easily obtain their e-Visas online, in approximately three minutes.
It is possible to obtain e-Visa 7/24 at everywhere with internet connection. The applicants can obtain their visa after they fill in the necessary information concerning their identity, passport and travel dates and pay visa fee online.
If you have a valid visa, you do not need a residence permit up to 90 days. On the other hand, foreigners who shall reside, work or study in Turkey, should register themselves at the nearest local police department upon their arrival in Turkey, regardless of the validity of their visa.
About the Turkish Electronic visa
Tourists and business travelers for short-term need to apply for a Turkish electronic visa before traveling to Turkey. This visa will replace the traditional visas previously inside the passport of the traveler or issued at the border crossing to Turkey.
How to get e-visa?
Visa will be obtained electronically via the Internet, it is not necessary to provide an image of the original passport or other documents. Will simply by submitting the application form at the site and filled the correct personal information, and the visa will be issued and sent to the personal e-mail to the applicant within 24 business hours.
What do you need to get a Turkish e- visa?
You need to have your passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry of Turkey. Depending on your nationality, there may be additional requirements. You will be notified of these requirements after determining your country and dates.
How Can I obtain the Turkish Electronic Visa or e-Visa?
First of all, let’s assume you either carry an ordinary passport or an identity card.
Step 1: Apply
Apply on-line by entering all the required information (your e-Visa and Passport information needs to match)
Apply via the www.evisa.gov.tr website (this link will take you to the official Republic of Turkey website).
Your passport must be valid at least for 6 months by the time you enter Turkey. Depending on your nationality, there might be some additional requirements to be met. You will be informed of these after you select your nationality and travel dates.
Step 2: Make Payment: Turkey e-Visa Payment
Payment can be made via MasterCard or Visa credit/debit card.
E-Visa fee is only offered in USD .You don’t have to have a USD account. An equivalent amount in your local currency will be deducted from your account.
Step 3: Download: Receiving your Turkey e-Visa
After you make payment, the link to download your e-Visa will be e-mailed to you.
Print it out to show to airport officials and customs officers when you are entering and existing Turkey
Carry it with you at all times during the travel.
